The renowned security expert Bruce Schneier has realised that Microsoft let slip an important piece of information recently – about surveillance of their AI tools:

Microsoft announced that it caught Chinese, Russian, and Iranian hackers using its AI tools—presumably coding tools—to improve their hacking abilities.

To be able to do that, Schneier notes, Microsoft would have to be watching everyone using their AI tools.
