Microsoft Highlights Latest Improvements to Copilot in Microsoft 365

Following on from the Copilot+ announcements, it almost seemed as though Copilot in Microsoft 365 had been ignored. But according to Thurrott, it hasn’t:

Here are some of the key new features:

Copilot connectors. Starting this month, businesses can use Copilot connectors to ground copilots using specific data sources like public websites, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Dataverse tables, Microsoft Fabric OneLake, the Microsoft Graph, and third-party apps.

Copilot in Planner. Rolling out in preview to Planner in Teams, this new feature will help teammates collaborate on projects together by using natural language to generate plans with goals, tasks, subtasks, and buckets; manage plans; and track progress.

Copilot Labs improvements. In May, Microsoft added new prompt publishing capabilities related to roles (HR, marketing) and industries, and it’s improving on that now with suggested prompts.

Catch up. This new Copilot chat feature is rolling out this month. It will help you keep up on your workday, provide proactive suggestions, document updates and activity, and more.

Copilot in Loop. Copilot in Loop is rolling out now so users can co-prompt with Copilot in Loop components used in other apps like Outlook and Teams.

Copilot in Forms improvements. Rolling out now, Copilot in Forms will email response rates to a form owner and offer proactive recommendations for follow-up actions.

Quite a useful set of features.
